Honda Tie Rod End vs Rack End: Steering Position and Fitment Guide
“Tie rod” can refer to more than one steering linkage component. A tie rod end and a rack end install at different points, so the requested component should be identified before an OE number is matched.
Identify the steering location
Confirm whether the part connects at the steering knuckle or at the rack-side inner linkage. Record front axle position and left or right side when the catalog separates them.
Keep the vehicle data complete
- Original OE number and replacement references
- Honda model, chassis and production range
- Engine and drivetrain where the catalog requires them
- Left-hand-drive or right-hand-drive market if relevant
- Individual, pair or kit quantity
Do not select by thread or appearance alone
Similar threads, stud shapes or photographs may help identify a request but cannot establish full compatibility. Use the applicable catalog and VIN when multiple steering versions exist.
