CV Axle vs Driveshaft: Application Checks Before a Wholesale Order
“Drive shaft” may be used broadly in customer requests, but a front CV axle and a propeller or driveshaft component serve different drivetrain layouts. The product name and installation position should be clarified before quotation.
Identify the drivetrain component
Confirm whether the request is for a complete CV axle, an inner or outer joint, a boot kit, a propeller shaft, a center support or another driveline part. Keep a complete assembly separate from a repair component unless the catalog confirms the supplied contents.
Check the vehicle configuration
Record the OE number, chassis, engine, transmission, drivetrain, axle position and production range. Front-wheel-drive, rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive applications can use different references even within one model family.
Buyer verification list
- Exact OE number and supersession status
- Inner or outer joint, left or right, front or rear where applicable
- Drivetrain and transmission details
- Whether the item is an assembly, joint, boot or support
- Quantity and destination market
Search and request a fitment-aware quote
Use site search to locate the OE reference and browse Chassis & Suspension Parts. Send the complete application and quantity through the BILUSI wholesale inquiry form; use VIN or catalog review when the drivetrain information is incomplete.
