Brake components are safety-critical, so a broad description such as “brake pad” or “brake disc” is never enough for a purchasing decision. Buyers should confirm the OE reference, axle position and vehicle application before adding a part to a wholesale order.
Identify the brake component and axle
Start by confirming whether the request is for a pad set, disc rotor, caliper, master cylinder, wheel cylinder, hose, shoe set or hardware kit. Then confirm front or rear axle. On some applications, left and right calipers are different, while pads and rotors may also change by brake package or production date.
OE-led fitment checks
- Use the OE number as the primary lookup reference.
- Confirm vehicle chassis, engine and production range.
- Check front/rear axle and left/right side where relevant.
- Compare disc diameter, thickness, bolt pattern and ventilation design when applicable.
- Confirm whether accessories or hardware are included.
Do not mix brake variants
Vehicles in one model range can use different brake systems. Market specification, engine output, wheel size and production changes may affect the correct reference. If the OE number or axle is unclear, request the VIN or a clear photo of the original part before final confirmation.
