A sample can help a buyer compare the requested component, but it should support—not replace—catalog or VIN verification. Approval should record what was actually checked.
Compare the reference and component
Check the complete OE number, part name, installation position and supplied format against the request. Photograph or record differences without assuming that visual similarity proves interchangeability.
Confirm the vehicle application
Match model, chassis, production range, engine and drivetrain where relevant. Resolve left/right, front/rear, transmission or other alternatives with the applicable catalog or VIN.
